How it works
There is one featured link. Submit a valid website, beat the displayed minimum, and complete payment. Your link takes over as soon as Stripe confirms it.
Enter the duel for $20.00 →The process
Enter a public HTTP or HTTPS address with working DNS, plus a short description. Links are checked before checkout begins.
The first placement starts at $20. After that, the form always shows the least bid currently accepted.
Checkout happens on Stripe’s secure payment page. A submitted bid remains private and pending until payment is confirmed.
Your link goes live immediately after confirmation and remains featured until another completed payment beats it.
The visible link points directly to the owner’s real URL. LinkDuel records the click in the background rather than hiding the destination behind a redirect.
Clicks, amount paid, start time, and total time on top are recorded. Times are displayed in Eastern Time.
If another qualifying payment finishes while you are still checking out and your amount is no longer high enough, your payment is automatically refunded.
Confirmed placements move into the public archive after being outbid. Their links remain clickable and can continue collecting tracked visits.
Ground rules
Real public websites only. Bare text, localhost addresses, IP addresses, invalid domains, and domains without DNS are rejected.
Payment decides ownership. Opening the checkout page does not reserve the spot. The first valid completed payment wins.
Clicks are directional, not personal. LinkDuel counts outbound visits without building individual visitor profiles.
Moderation still applies. Harmful, deceptive, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate domains may be hidden and blocked from future bids.
Common questions
Stripe charges the entered amount when you complete Checkout. Closing or cancelling Checkout does not create a placement.
There is no fixed duration. It stays featured until another person completes a higher qualifying bid.
Your homepage timer stops, but the placement remains in the public archive with its bid, clicks, and ownership duration.
Yes. A normal outbound visit from the homepage or archive increments the displayed click count.
No. Pending and cancelled checkouts never become owners. Only Stripe-confirmed payments can change the featured link.
